Couvrette Legal Services is a Legal Support Service Company, specializing in Process Serving and Court Filing, started in 1988 by Michael Couvrette. In 2017 Michael sold the company to his son Matthew, who has been operating and managing the business for the last six years.
Headquartered in Ottawa, Canada we are centrally located to serve our wide region. Throughout the last 30 years we have been able to develop what we believe to be the most effective method to help our clients from Issuance to Filing and everything in between.

At Couvrette Legal Services, our objective is quality legal support service with an emphasis on cost-efficiency, communication and results. Our main focus is serving process of legal documents, however, we also conduct occupancy reports, complete document authentication at Foreign Affairs Canada and Embassies throughout Ottawa. Court filing services are available across Eastern Ontario at the following courthouses– Ottawa, Pembroke, Perth, Cornwall, Brockville, L’Orignal as well as the Supreme Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Canada. We are a family run business currently in our 33rd year. Our staff of 6 employees currently has over 100 years of combined experience in the field of serving and filing documents. Our clientele has expanded over time to include major law firms, financial institutions and government agencies throughout North America. As a member of NAPPS (National Association of Professional Process Servers), we are in contact with over 1500 process servers and investigators throughout Canada and the United States. We are thereby able to ensure that your documents are forwarded to reliable agents and processed in a timely fashion.
